THE PETITION - Now closed - 740 signatures

The petition is now closed - and 740 residents, traders and regular visitors to the town signed it.  Thank you to all those who signed.

We presented the petition to the Local Committee that is responsible for approving the town enhancement proposals on September 22nd at 2.00 pm.  We submitted a 3 minutes petition statement as well which is attached below.

The officers from SCC did take note of residents concerns and have agreed to reconsider how the "public realm" can be improved and how accessibility to the town can be achieved.  They have put back the decision about the use of Victoria Road until phase 3 - 2010 / 2011 - whilst further investigations are conducted.
